Summer, like creamy caramel, is sticky and sweet.
However, when the natural and usually cooperative world suddenly turned baring its fangs this summer, it certainly didn’t bother to check the vast sums of karma points I thought to have saved for just the occasion. When the world struck, not once did it pause to consider the trash I picked up from the neighbor’s yard, the charitable coin I had been tossing to the poor and the hungry, the recycling, my attempts to save the rain forests and glaciers for the kids, or the other long lists of karma building activities I regularly engage in. Taking my counter-measures for granted, it flung and flailed me like a wet sheet on the drying line. Tattered, I cling to a few slivers of righteous indignation while I sardonically peer about and prepare for world to unleash exciting, new atrocities against me with the words, “Et tu brute?”
Haha.
Who am I kidding; I could care less, and would.
Lets all tell tall tales. Perhaps we will learn and grow together.
