Tomorrow at noon, shortly after IV sedation, a highly trained oral surgeon will extract eight teeth from my face. I will be waving goodbye to all of my 3rd molars (that’s the “wisdom teeth” in common speech) plus an additional four premolars (that’s the bicuspids–to make room for straight teeth) and wishing good luck to the empty sockets in my mouth.
Goodbye and good luck you nasty pointy things. I’ll commemorate your by only eating gentle, soft foods for a while.
Lets all tell tall tales. Perhaps we will learn and grow together.

I feel you, Ming. In January I also had a tooth pulled to make room for straight teeth. It’s not so bad! Although, my gap is in the front and so for a while I looked a little loony.
See if you can keep your teeth! I did this and avoided a post-partum syndrome with my lower left-central incisor.

@Alexis: Thanks for the advice and the kind encouragement! I totally forgot to tell them that I wanted to keep my teeth after they were extracted. Now I wished that I had.
Yeah I look a little weird with my 1st bicuspids in my upper arch and my 2nd bicuspids from my lower arch missing. But I am sure they will straighten out in no time.
