In March, I will be turning 27.
In the spirit of growing older and wiser I will, for the first time, budget my food spendings for a month. While it may not seem like much of a goal, I have to start somewhere.
For this project I have allocated a lofty sum of $200.00 dollars.
I have nearly seven times the budget of The Hungry for a Month Project
However, the breakdown doesn’t seem very inspiring…
There are 31 days in March.
That will give me around $6.45 a day.
I need 2500 calories a day(…maybe???).
Each dollar I spend will have to yield nearly 388 calories.
Starting tomorrow I will be documenting my day to day meals and how much they cost. I will be charting my way to the magical $200.00 finish line.
RULES
- No Ramen
- Buy only Non-hormone, Non-Antibiotic Meat
- Must have fruit and vegetable everyday
- I will only eat real, non-processed foods when eating at home
Today doesn’t count.
Ready. Go.

Lets all tell tall tales. Perhaps we will learn and grow together.
